A James I ascribed west country apostle spoon, St Philip with three loaves of bread and a slender straight sided stem, the bowl crested and pricked 1616 on the reverse, struck with the crowned x town mark in the bowl, and an indistinct makers mark on the back of the stem, Exeter, c.1616, 6.9in (17.5cm), 1oz.
