A rare Victorian naturalistic vinaigrette, in the form of a mussel shell with a pendant ring, the two halves hinging open to reveal a hinged, gilt grille pierced with scrolls and stamped with a registered design lozenge and 'S. Mordan & Co London', c.1880, 1.9in (4.8cm) long.
