A RARE JAPANESE NABESHIMA-STYLE CELADON FOOTED DISH, SHAKU-ZARA
EDO PERIOD 1603-1868
The well incised with three books with side-stitched binding on which lie two paint brushes, the ground with kikko (hexagonal cells) containing flowerheads, the rim and footrim white and the underside left undecorated, 30.5cm.
Provenance: a Scottish private collection acquired in the early 20th century.
