A set of 'Chinese Chippendale' giltwood and mahogany hanging wall shelves
A set of 'Chinese Chippendale' giltwood and mahogany hanging wall shelves, with a carved leaf and fretwork surmount with an acorn finial above three tiers with pierced fretwork galleries and ends, inscribed '4305A', possibly 18th century, 142cm high, 79.3cm wide, 18.5cm deep.
The leaf pediment corresponds to that of a 'China Shelf' pattern in Thomas Chippendale's 'The Gentleman and Cabinet-Maker's Director', 1754, pl. 119 .
