Past Splendours, Present Charms

The 8th annual Tim Woolley Memorial Lecture raised £1700 for Salisbury Hospice on Wednesday 10th April.
Attendees were treated to a talk by interior designer, Charlotte Stuart, whose experience and knowledge of the firm Colefax & Fowler made her the perfect person to speak alongside a private view of the Parker & Morris; the Art of Decorating auction.
Her talk, Past Splendours, Present Charms: Colefax's Influence on Country House Decor, took listeners on a journey that touched on the patronage of the Duke and Duchess of Windsor, the influence of Farrow & Ball's Elephant's Breath paint, and Nancy Lancaster's famed Yellow Room.
