A Nepalese gilt bronze figure of Gautama Buddha, seated in Dhyanasana on a lotus throne, his hands in Dhyanamudra, holding a Patra, a separate gilt bronze reticulated halo slots into the rear of the figure. Some wear to the gilding. 17th/18th century, 29cm. Provenance: Deaccessioned from The Strong Museum, Massachusetts. Collection no.87.9570.
