A late Victorian "Scottish Market" chatelaine, in a shaped and fitted case (retailed by James Robertson & Son, Edinburgh) comprising a 'luckenbooth' clip unmarked, with five chains and the following three items dependant: a telescopic pen and pencil combined, a horn-shaped vinaigrette and whistle combined both by S. Mordan & Co [incuse mark only] and a miniature agate mounted Skien dhu with a foiled glass-set terminal and steel blade (locking scabbard) unmarked, mixed makers, the skien dhu, 3.85in (10cm) long.
