An early 19th century French gold mounted sewing necessaire, in a fitted ivory case engraved with a coronet and initials comprising: a needle case in the form of a quiver of arrows, two pairs of mounted steel scissors with serpent stems, a thimble, a mounted steel pierced, and a bodkin A/F, 1st half of the 19th century, the case 4.4in (11.2cm) wide.
