A George IV silver raised relief Pedlar snuff box,
by John Linnit, London 1825,
rectangular form, the hinged cover with a scene of a standing pedlar with a tray of his goods, silver-gilt interior, plain sides and base, engraved with two crests, length 10cm, approx. weight 6.3oz.
Provenance: purchased in these rooms, 20 April 2004, lot 1368.
The two crests are those of Hervey-Bathurst, Baronets of Clarendon Park, Wiltshire.
