A good, George II Scottish 'bullet' teapot, on a domed circular pedestal foot with a leaf-capped, s-scroll handle, part fluted spout and a ball finial, the hinge and cover outline concealed by a mantle of chased decoration around the upper body, assay master Edward Lothian, maker's mark "IM" [with a figure in between] possibly for John Main, Edinburgh 1742, 23.25oz.
