A rare Yorkshire pearlware Toby jug c.1840, by James Reed of Mexborough, of Ordinary type but with a small black and white dog between his feet, his face pencilled with a black beard and moustache, wearing a long blue coat, impressed *REED* and incised GD marks, 25.2cm.
