λ A late 18th century Dutch fan with ivory guards and sticks, carved with a harlequin, figures dancing and a windmill, the fan painted with an astronomer seated at a table in front of an armillary sphere, together with two ladies, one holding a birdcage, with an outer band of monkeys and parrots, 44.7cm wide, later mounted in a glazed gilt case.
