The four oban tate-e from the series Fuzoku sanjuni so (Thirty-two Aspects of Customs and Manners of Women), comprising: a courtier holding a fan, entitled 'Elegant: Habits of a lady of the Imperial court in the Kyowa era'; a beauty surrounded by wisps of smoke, entitled 'Smoky: Habits of a housewife of the Kyowa era'; another washing her hands while holding a towel between her lips, entitled 'Chilly: Habits of a concubine of the Bunka era'; the fourth depicting a beauty getting treated with moxibustion, entitled 'Hot: Habits of a wealthy housewife of the Bunsei era', each print approx. 24cm x 36cm.
