the triangular blade with a chased foliate border and engraved with a church and 'Presented to Samuel Stitt Esq. of the Grange Claughton on the occasion of his laying the foundation stone of St. Paul's United Presbyterian Church, Birkenhead 6 September 1859', the handle of tapering hexagonal form, engraved decoration, length 33.2cm, approx. weight 9.2oz.
