A FINE AND RARE CHINESE BLUE AND WHITE 'DRAGON' DISH
SIX CHARACTER KANGXI MARK IN UNDERGLAZE BLUE AND OF THE PERIOD 1662-1722


The shallow body decorated with a single confronting old scaly dragon amidst wisps of fire with a shou character in his claws, surrounded with a border of rosette diaper at the rim, 21cm.


Cf. Qing Shunzhi Kangxi Chao Qinghuaici, p.167, no.95 for a similar example in the collection of the Palace Museum in Beijing.
