20th Century Design

Arts & Crafts Banner June 2015 1 Copy

Our department is at Carter House, 6-10 Salt Lane, Salisbury, SP1 1EE

We hold four specialist auctions across the year: Clarice Cliff and Art Deco, Arts and Crafts, Design, and British Art Pottery. These themed sales cover ceramics, glass, metalware, works on paper, silver and textiles, from the Arts and Crafts movement to the present day.

The department achieved a record sale total in June 2014 and a world record auction price of a piece of Martin Brothers pottery, beating the world record previously set by Woolley and Wallis in 2013.

We have successfully auctioned the collections of Lord Parmoor, the BBC producer Verity Lambert, and recently the Clarice Cliff collection of Jimmy Greaves. Woolley and Wallis are market leaders in 20th Century Design, in particular contemporary ceramics, Martin ware, Clarice Cliff and Arts & Crafts.
