λ TWO JAPANESE IVORY NETSUKE

MEIJI 1868-1912

The first depicting boys playing around a tsuitate (standing screen), signed Gyokko in an inlaid rectangular cartouche to the base, the other carved as a caparisoned elephant with a boy sat on its back and two other children playing musical instruments at its feet, signed Chikuyosai Tomochika with a seal for Tomochika and inscribed with the name of the Tokyo shop for which the piece was made, 5.6cm.
