A Victorian lacquered brass monocular microscope by R & J Beck, with rack and pinion fine focusing above a square mechanical stage, the sub stage collar above a plano/concave mirror, mounted on twin columns above a flat tripod base, inscribed 'R & J Beck, 31 Cornhill, London' and numbered '6046', on a mahogany plinth, 48cm high, in a mahogany case with a brass handle, fitted with a mahogany box containing lenses and other equipment.
