Auction Valuations

Our specialists are always pleased to give a free verbal auction estimate on any item brought to the Salerooms. Alternatively, click here to send an email with attached photograph to one of our specialists.

Written valuations for insurance, probate, family division, Capital Gains Tax, Private Treaty and sale by auction are an important part of our business and are normally carried out by a Director or specialist. For over one hundred years we have acted for private clients, solicitors, executors and trustees. Charges are agreed in advance and are normally worked out on a time basis. If items in the valuation are subsequently sent for auction we will gladly refund all or part of the valuation fee. Confidentiality is paramount.

Insurance Valuations

A detailed bound valuation is provided, giving an overall total for the entire contents of the more significant pieces. This can include photographs. We also value specialist collections and individual items.

Probate Valuations

We aim to provide a swift and efficient service for executors, keeping administration to a minimum and enabling the estate to be disbursed quickly. Where security is a consideration, we can usually clear and arrange storage for the entire contents of the house at short notice.
