World War I, a pair of medals to a "Fany", the First Aid Nursing Yeomanry Corps, War and Victory Medals (M. MULLINER. F.A.N.Y.C.), three "Women's Transport service - F.A.N.Y" buttons; and with a gold and enamel brooch of Queen Victoria's Own Corps of Guides, a crowned VR monogram and Garter, with legend around, 22 x 16mm, in black leather case. Medals and brooch about extremely fine. (6) The Corps of Guides, formed in 1846, was an Indian Army regiment with a reputation for excellence, innovation, individual initiative, endurance, daring and toughness in battle, By 1914 it was named Queen Victoria's Own Corps of Guides (Frontier Force) (Lumsden's) Cavalry. The cataloguers are unable to link the brooch to the medals.
