'The Everly Brothers

'The Everly Brothers, 5 Dallas Boys, Cherry Wainer, Lance Fortune' a day bill for the De Montfort Hall, 17th April 28 x 14.5cm. The early American rock stars toured Britain as part of a 'package' featuring a mixed line up of support acts. These were publicised by posters, published locally, in the variety style and known as 'Boxing Match' posters due to their similarity to the promotion of local fight cards. Often these sheets were hung outside the ticket office and would be torn down by fans purchasing their ticket for the concert (see the torn top left corners).
