Wynyard R T Wilkinson Indian Silver 1858-1947, private press, page 22 for a discussion on the T.100 silver mark suggesting its use in Bombay. the markings were intended to indicate the purity of the silver, the number giving the percentage of pure silver - although tests have shown this to be optimistic. The T mark was also used in Lucknow and Bengal as well as Cutch-style silver from Karachi.
