A Martin Brothers stoneware vase by Robert Wallace Martin, dated 1889, shouldered form, incised with finch birds perched and flying amongst fruiting and flowering blackberry stems, above wild flowers, in shades of blue, green and brown on a buff ground, highlighted with white incised 2-1889 R W Martin & Bros London & Southall, small firing fault to top rim, 22.5cm. high
