A Della Robbia Pottery wall plaque by Ellen Mary Rope, modelled in low relief with a young artist holding a paint brush and palette, glazed in shades of blue, yellow and green on a white ground, signed EMRope lower left, unmarked to back, chips, 21 x 12cm. Provenance Hannah Jones (Della Robbia artist), thence by descent when purchased by the present collector in 1971.
