'Happy Families' four panels of original artwork by Ern Shaw, depicting the Happy Families characters for the card game, and a panel of designs for the card game packaging annotated in pencil, unsigned each board 45 x 38cm. This and the following six lots formed part of the Hull cartoonist Ern Shaw's archive of work from a private collection. They were included in an exhibition of at Ern Shaw's work at the Ferens Art Gallery in Hull in 2010. The exhibition was called The Boy Who Would Not Grow Up.
