'Sleeping Calf' a rare Royal Doulton animal figure designed by Raoh Schorr, model no. 946, covered in a green bronze glaze printed factory mark, impressed marks, 14cm. wide.

Catalogue notes

Schorr was a recognised animal sculptor and was employed by Royal Doulton to produce a range of animal figurines. Doulton produced an advertising catalogue for the figures in 1937, which listed the three finishes available - matt white, green bronze and coloured. It is thought the range was withdrawn from production in 1939.
