A rare and large Minton majolica wall charger after a design by Silas Rice, depicting a portrait of Queen Victoria, painted by Thomas Kirkby in colours impressed mark painted Sevres type mark 46cm. diam. Literature Joan Jones Minton page 134 and 135 for a comparable example. These plaques were exhibited at the Paris Exhibition of 1855.
