A tin-glazed earthenware jug by Alfred Powell dated 1928, painted in blue with a lakeside landscape, the reverse with a country house painted Powell monogram, 28 13.5cm. high More known for his work for Wedgwood, Powell and his wife Louise also decorated a series of blanks.
