'Artistic Japan' Volumes 1 to 6, edited by Siegfried (Samuel) Bing, published by Samson Low. Marston, Searle and Rivington, 1888 Siegfried Bing was a collector of Japanese Art and set up the gallery La Maison Bing in 1895. Also widely known as L'Art Nouveau Maison Bing, its influential status is credited with naming the turn of the century design movement Art Nouveau.
