A Benin cast bronze belt mask
A Benin cast bronze belt mask, with a stepped coiffure and ribbed tendril eyebrows and hair, one eye with an iron pupil, the other disfigured (gunshot?), with ring fixings to top and base, possibly 18th century, 7in (17.8cm) high.
Provenance: Ernest Ohly, Berkeley Galleries, London. Purchased December 1964.
