buckskin and coloured glass beads, the shoulders with a later applied Nez Perce beaded geometric panel on a striped cloth, the sides and base with tassels and the body with beaded tassels, circa 1910 - 20,
124cm long, 139cm wide.
Provenance
Collected in Kamiah on the Nez Perce Reservation in 1968.
Curtright and Son, Tacona, Washington, who states the dress originally came from a family on the Colville Reservation and the beaded yoke added on the Nez Perce Reservation.
