pottery with incised decoration, modelled as a seated female wearing a hat, with aperture, a necklace and a skirt, on a spherical base inscribed VOANIA MUBA,
36cm high.

Voania Muba lived in a Bawoyo village called Muba, where he was the chief. A self taught potter working in the late 19th century to his death around 1928. Selling in the markets at Boma and Bawana, stopping places for European travellers. cf. The British Museum, Af1954,23.1746.
