Four Papua New Guinea spears

including a New Ireland spear, palmwood and bamboo, with a oval head and faceted tip having a fibre bound bamboo end with inscribed linear leaf design, 229.5cm long; a palmwood spear with black and red coiled fibre with the remains of finely bound ribs with barbs, 318.5cm long; one with cut barbs along one side, possibly Matty Island, 232cm long; and a double sided barbed spear with remains of linear pigment decoration, 215cm long. (4)
