Woolley and Wallis is the leading regional auction house for Asian Art in the UK.
Our reputation was established in July 2005 when we sold a magnificent Yuan dynasty double-gourd vase for £2,600,000, the record price for any object sold in a UK provincial auction house. In May 2009 we broke this record again with an Imperial spinach-green jade water buffalo from the Qianlong period, which sold for a hammer price of £3,400,000. Our May 2010 sale outperformed the equivalent Asian sales at the London salerooms, containing the season's two top lots and becoming the then highest grossing sale ever at any regional auction house in the UK; a record we were to beat at our November 2010 sale. Other highlights include an Imperial white jade ghanta, sold in May 2010 for £2,000,000, and an Imperial white jade carving of a recumbent deer, sold in November 2010 for £3,200,000. 

More recently, in November 2023 we were delighted to offer the Lawrence Jade Collection for sale. Assembled across two generations by father and son Neville Lawrence (1891-1959) and Murray Lawrence (1935-2021), this collection of exceptional Ming and Qing jades sold for a total exceeding £2,400,000.

2010年春拍和秋拍，更是連續兩次刷新當時倫敦以外專場拍賣的總成交金額。值得一提的破百萬拍品，包括兩件乾隆御製玉器，白玉雕佛法鈴及白玉臥鹿，分別以二百萬英鎊及三百二十萬英鎊高價易手。

而在最近2023年秋季拍賣中，威立士十分榮幸帶來《琳瑯御珍：勞倫斯珍藏玉石》拍賣專場。由兩代勞倫斯父子精選收藏中，囊括乾隆、雍正、嘉慶時期，雕工精細的玉石珍玩。專場總成交額高達二百四十萬英鎊。
