SIX CHARACTER XUANTONG MARK AND OF THE PERIOD 1908-11

The exterior incised with two scaly dragons in pursuit of flaming pearls over a continuous band of crashing waves, coated with a warm egg-yolk yellow glaze, the base glazed white and with the reign mark in underglaze blue, together with a celadon glazed vase decorated with archaistic animal masks and geometric designs, the base with a four character Chenghua mark, 16.5cm and 22cm.
