The Fine Chinese Paintings & Works of Art sale on 7th December 2020 will include a large 18th century blanc de Chine figure of the bodhisattva Guanyin (lot 124). The figure was purchased from Hugh Moss at Grosvenor House in the 1970s, and now comes to us from a private collection in West Yorkshire. The sale also features a rare and massive Yongzheng period Ge-type moonflask, or baoyueping, from the estate of Dikran and Seta Ouzounian, and thence by descent (lot 121). Other highlights from the sale are a scroll painting of the Three Gorges by Qian Songyan (lot 10), a rare Imperial Wanli mark and period box and cover (lot 110) and a number of 18th century jade carvings, including a small white jade mountain carving with deer from the collection of Sir Archibald John Boyd and Lady Boyd (lot 82).
