A RARE CHINESE CELADON JADE 'PHOENIX' BRUSH WASHER
17TH/18TH CENTURY

Carved with its head tilted back resting on its right shoulder, the wings and bifurcated tail carved with stylised feathers, the reverse carved in shallow relief with two clawed feet, the stone of a pale green tone with darker inclusions, 10.5cm.
