A LARGE AND FINE CHINESE 'SCHOLARS BENEATH A PINE TREE' VASE
SIX-CHARACTER QIANLONG MARK BUT REPUBLIC PERIOD

The ovoid body applied with iron-red bats to the shoulder and brightly decorated with a group of scholars and their attendants beneath a pine tree, the reverse with an inscription and four seal marks, with a wood stand, 34.5cm. (2)

From an English private collection, purchased in Singapore, together with a copy of a receipt from Shanghai Art House, dated 10th August 1968.
