A CHINESE BLUE AND WHITE TANKARD
TRANSITIONAL PERIOD C.1640
Painted with an official and an attendant within a fenced garden beneath a willow tree, standing amongst rockwork and shrubs, with swirling clouds to the reverse, set with a hinged 18th century European silver-gilt mount, a faint maker's mark to the rim, 20.7cm.
From an English private collection, Dorset.
