Two small Chinese bronze vases probably late Ming dynasty, one of gu form, decorated in relief with taotie masks, the central knop with four flanges, the other cylindrical, with vases of flowers, ribbons and auspicious things, the rim and footrim with key fret, the base with a mark which reads hu wen Ming zhi, 13cm. (2)

Provenance: Christie's, 2nd April 1998, lot 209, for the cylindrical vase.
