A massive Chinese bronze incense burner 19th century, the circular body with heavily-cast mask head and loose-ringed handles and engraved with a wide band of scaly dragons and phoenix contesting flaming pearls of wisdom, raised on three feet, together with a carved hardwood stand, 65cm. (2)

Provenance: from the collection of Colonel Francis Pitt Stewart Taylor, C.M.G., R.A.S.C.,(1864-1924), and thence by descent.
