A large Chinese pottery ovoid vase Warring States period 475-221 BC, the rounded body with a flat moulded rim, the exterior decorated with a continuous spiral of geometric motifs rising from the base, decorated with a sandy-yellow glaze, 36cm dia.
Provenance: purchased in Hong Kong in the early 1990s.
