The dark yellow lacquer ground inlaid with ivory, mother of pearl, wood, lapis lazuli and soapstone, decorated with flowering magnolia branches growing from a vase detailed with taotie, a qin, a crane, a suspended shou plaque, a carp amidst waves, two seated figures playing go, and a pot containing scrolls and a massager, the reverse with a poem and a Qianlong mark in mother of pearl on a black ground, together with a carved wood stand, 59cm x 39cm overall.
