Brightly painted to the exterior in enamels and gilt with two large panels depicting huntsmen on horseback as their pack of hounds chase a fox, the scenes divided by smaller cartouches containing birds and rouge-de-fer landscapes, all reserved on a dense geometric ground, with a roundel enclosing a gentleman and his dogs in pursuit of a pheasant surrounded by a spearhead band to the well, 25.7cm.
