SIX CHARACTER JIAQING MARK AND OF THE PERIOD 1796-1820

The deep U-shaped body rising from a short gently tapering foot to an everted rim, painted in enamels with butterflies in flight amidst fruiting and flowering bitter melon branches and bamboo, the design extending over the rim and continuing into the well, 11cm.

Provenance: from the estate of Anne Marie Wood, Warwickshire, acquired no later than the 1990s.
