19TH/EARLY 20TH CENTURY

Arranged in two sets of six, one painted with a pair of peacocks, the other with a pair of pheasants perched on a blossoming peony tree, all within stylised floral borders against a pale blue ground, each tile 24cm x 24cm. (12)

Provenance: an English private collection, purchased at Christie's South Kensington on 22nd September 1994, a copy of the original invoice is available.
