A Chinese celadon jade plaque formed as a conjoined vase and cover 18th/19th century, carved with two scrolls, a dragon to one side and a phoenix to the other, with a band of reticulated cloud scrolls and stylized dragons, an additional bar beneath carved with flowerheads, held together with a silk tassel, minor damage, the plaque 8.6cm. (3) Provenance: William Cleverley Alexander (1840-1916).
