A rare Chinese spinach-green jade double vase Qianlong 1736-95, formed as a ewer beside a vase, encircled by a gnarled branch from which a multitude of lingzhi fungus grow, the ewer with a single cover and chilong handles, all raised on an elaborate stained ivory stand, carved with further fungi, the cover of the vase lacking, 20cm. (3) Provenance: Sir Ernest Joseph Cassel (1852-1921). Lady Delamere. Exhibited: the Fitzwilliam Museum, Cambridge, 1961-1998.
