A pair of Chinese gilt bronze and cloisonné moonflasks 19th century, with flattened circular bodies and ruyi-shaped handles, each decorated with a pair of birds to one side and a large peony head to the other, each with a six character Qianlong mark, a little wear to the gilding, 27.2cm. (2) Provenance: formerly in the collection of Muftah Al Abbar, Monaco. Cf. Brown, Chinese Cloisonné: The Clague Collection, pl.12, 21 and 46 for related cloisonné moonflasks.
