A CHINESE FAMILLE VERTE LOBED TEA BOWL AND SAUCER

KANGXI 1622-1722

Decorated with fan-shaped panels and Buddhist emblems, the rim accentuated with a band of chevrons and gilt, the tea bowl with a hare in underglaze blue to the base, the saucer with a paper label with a long inscription, 11.2cm. (2)

Provenance: from the collection of John Snelgrove Esq., a captain of the East India Company, given to Ann Tennant by his son according to the label to the base of the plate.
